Linda Pearl Paver, age 70, of Belle Center, died peacefully Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center in Lakeview.A beloved “lunch lady,” Linda was a Marysville Schools cafeteria cook for many years. She began her devoted career at Raymond Elementary and retired from her duties at Marysville Middle School.Her career was much more than a job to her as she had a knack for uplifting and encouraging her students. She often awarded her elementary school agers with cartoons and Disney drawings that she created herself.Linda also poured her heart out to scores of youngsters, including her own son, Larry, as a 4-H advisor, as she was the longtime leader of “The Bear Necessities” club.She was also a constant presence at the Union County Fair, promoting 4-H “To Make The Best Better.”Linda was a former member of Raymond United Methodist Church and in recent years, became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Marysville.Aside from drawing and cartooning, she enjoyed bowling, boating, camping, fishing with her husband and going on vacations. She and her family traveled to nearly all of the 50 states.She will be most remembered for her friendly and conversational demeanor, her giving heart and love for children.She was born August 14, 1952 in Kenton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her mother, Avonelle Hartley; her father, John Henry Beltz; an infant daughter, Amy; her oldest sister, Kay Treat; and a brother-in-law, Donald Paver.She is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Larry D. Paver, Sr. whom she married March 31, 1979 at Ostrander Methodist Church; her son Larry D. (Traci) Paver, Jr. of Richwood; her granddaughter, Annabelle; two sisters, Sue (Dick) Oncheck of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Pam (Tom) Mullins of Bloomington, Minnesota; a brother-in-law, Wayne Treat; a sister-in-law, Lynn Smith Paver; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.The family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Underwood Funeral Home where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2023.Bishop Eric Ellington will officiate and burial will be at Raymond Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association-Central Ohio Chapter or to Mercy Hospice at St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima.
